The first snow of this year began to fall on China's capital city Beijing, bringing with it joy to the city that had endured a long dry period, but also flight delays and traffic troubles. Normally in Beijing the first snow begin to fall in mid-December but this year, as you can see in this recent post, China have suffered the worst drought in the last fifty years. What's particular interesting is that These preciptations have been artificially induced firing sticks of chemicals into the sky to seed clouds in a bid to provoke rain.
